I got to see Jeff Gordon unveil his monument from winning there last year. I was waiting for him to come. My dad was standing nearby a bench a few feet away from where I was. So Jeff came in this golf cart with some other guy. The guy that was driving pulled up next to my dad. So Jeff got out and my dad said, "Hey Jeff! What's up?!". My dad doesn't like Jeff, but he still said hi to him. So then Jeff waved back to my dad. So Jeff came through the crowd, did a speech and unveiled his monument. Then, I went up to my dad and he told me to stand by the golf cart. So I stood by the golf cart and lots of other people did, too. So Jeff walked by the other people and I was like, "Oh my God!!! Jeff is coming this way!!!". So when Jeff was walking by me, I said "Hi Jeff!". He didn't say anything to me or wave. I was in the front row of all the other people standing by the golf cart. After that, I was freaking out! I was a few inches away from Jeff! He's hot on TV, but he's WAY HOTTER in person!!
No, I don't think it was rude of him to not wave back. There were a lot of people there and they were all shouting, "JEFF!!". I wanted him to waved or say something to me, but I'm not going to be mad at him.
